By taking on the challenge, you'll become a part of a powerful movement that will move us closer to a world free of multiple sclerosis.

2009 TEAM NOBBY (several not pictured were warming up their sprockets already!)
This year the annual 2-day NE MS Bike Tour will be held on Sat & Sun, July 10-11. Join the NOBBY’s as we once again jump on our bike saddle’s and ride to support the NE MS Chapter for the 9th consecutive year! Since we started riding this event Team NOBBY has raised more than $132,000 for the fight against MS as more than 208 NOBBY riders have ridden more than 20,000 miles collectively! The last 5 years we have been the #1 fund raising team and this year will be no exception! We are again collaborating with the Blair Bike Club and recruiting riders from the surrounding Blair & Omaha communities.
Come ride with a team that is making a major impact on the incredible annual NE MS Bike Tour’s!
Event Details:
Each year this event is well organized, has great prizes, incredible food and friendly volunteers to ensure the safety & fun for all who ride. It is considered by most avid cyclists to be the premier 2-day event of Nebraska & Iowa! The event route will start in NW Omaha and take riders to Lincoln where we spend the night. Saturday you can ride from 60 miles; with a century loop option for the avid cyclist looking to ride 100 miles and earn the coveted “MS Bike Event Century Patch”! Many cyclists will actually complete their 1st century ever on this MS event- it’s that well supported! There will be 8 fully staffed “watering holes” spread out approx every 10 miles along the route. They will have refreshments & light snacks and be fully staffed with volunteers anxious to assist you. The ever faithful Bellevue Ham Radio Operators, Bike Rack & Olympia Cycling all from Omaha, & a few other mechanics from Lincoln will provide full vehicle SAG support along the entire route. Fully trained medical personnel will also be available. The idea is to have a great time, ride at your own pace (whatever distance your choose to go) & raise badly needed $ to help fund support for Nebraska and western Iowa individuals and families who fight this debilitating disease.
There are also shorter 1-day ride routes set up to accommodate riders of ALL ages (12 and up), experience and abilities!
These routes are 21 & 44 miles and start/end in Omaha at the official 2-day start line on Sat 7/10.
You can ride either one or both days and any distance up to ~150 Miles - the choice is yours! On day-1 you can elect to ride the shorter 21 & 44 mile loops out and back to the start point in Omaha or ride the entire route to Lincoln. There will be riders from age 12 to mid 80’s, men, women, etc. Some are avid cyclists while still others have only recently begun riding. Some will ride a short distance & catch one of the many SAG Support Vehicles to Lincoln & wait for others to complete their ride. You will be totally amazed at how far you can actually pedal that bike of yours! This event is so well supported that most riders set personal best records for bicycle rides! What an awesome personal accomplishment on top of all the cool things you are doing for the MS cause!
